Working with Timezones

Timezones allow you to set the start and end times of events relative to a particular area. For example, if all of your events take place in Los Angeles, then you may want to display the event time in Pacific Time.

Loxi allows you to publish events either all in the same timezone or on an event-by-event basis. Here's how:

1. Using a Default Timezone

The Calendar Settings screen configures your default timezone. By default, Loxi uses your current geographical location.

Change this by selecting a different option in the Timezone Settings dropdown and click Save Changes at the bottom of the screen. Doing so will ensure that all events published to your calendar from this point forward use the new timezone by default.

2. Setting Timezones for Each Event

You are able to set a timezone for any specific event in the event editor in the Date & Time settings.

Changing the timezone for an event will override the default timezone in the Calendar Settings and instead display the event's times to the timezone chosen in the Event settings.
